Photo Consent Agreement
This agreement applies to Arden University Graduation Ceremonies held between 01 Sep 2025 – 31st August 2026.

This agreement relates to the Arden University’s use of the photos you uploaded to Squareshare’s printing service via Whatsapp (see also Squareshare’s privacy notice).
The Arden University is the controller of this data.
What You’re Agreeing To:
By clicking “Yes, I consent”, you agree for the Arden University to use your photographs, for social media purposes only.
This means you grant us a worldwide licence to use your photographs on our social media accounts.
How We’ll Use Your Photos:
We will only share your photos on our own social media accounts:
- TikTok
- Threads
- YouTube
This includes paid/boosted posts. We may crop, resize, or edit photos for different formats and platforms, but we will never change the substantive image itself.
Storage and Retention:
Your photos will be stored for a maximum of 3 years from the date of consent, in accordance with our GDPR obligations.
Withdrawal of Consent:
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at info@arden.ac.uk informing us of your WhatsApp username and phone number.
Upon withdrawal:
We won’t create new posts using your photos. If you want your photos to be removed from previous posts you will need to contact us via the email address above with the date and details of the post. Existing published content may remain online as removal from all platforms may not be technically possible.
Important Points:
- No payment: This is a free licence – we won’t pay you for using your photos.
- Your privacy: We won’t name you individually and we won’t share your personal contact details, but the ceremony you attended may be mentioned in captions.
We will only share your image on social media platforms, with your consent. We also use third party processors for IT services like data storage. Your information is stored on our secure servers, or on our cloud based systems which are located within the UK or the EEA

Third-party sharing: Once published, photos may be shared, downloaded, or republished by others beyond our control.
